S&P Computersysteme GmbH, manufacturer of intralogistics IT solutions from Leinfelden-Echterdingen, will be demonstrating at LogiMAT 2024 in Stuttgart (Hall 8, Stand C41) how the new developments ensure effortless material flows in automated intralogistics. Both software modules are fully integrated into the SuPCIS-L8 warehouse management software and can be updated at any time. However, S&P not only has new software power in its luggage, but also twice the expert power at the trade fair stand. As a subsidiary of Element Logic, employees from Element Logic will also be supporting the S&P stand this time. Visitors will be able to obtain advice on warehouse management software and AutoStore solutions.
One team: warehouse management software and AutoStore merge
As in other areas, automation technologies have become indispensable in intralogistics. The enormous cost pressure and the tight personnel situation mean that there are hardly any alternatives. This has also triggered a run on automated storage and retrieval systems such as AutoStore. In order for the AutoStore and the SuPCIS-L8 warehouse management software to work hand in hand, an interface is required, and this is called the AutoStore Connector. To synchronize the data automatically, the AutoStore Connector is fully and seamlessly integrated into the warehouse management software. As you would expect from S&P, they always consider low maintenance, high stability, good performance and intuitive operation when developing new products. This is why all information and workstation dialogs have the same user interface and the warehouse control station has a comprehensive overview and full transparency of the entire warehouse. When changes are made, the AutoStore Connector runs through automatic tests.
SuPCIS-DTC manages all automated components
Many companies are already using a wide variety of automated components that are controlled by material flow controllers (MFCs). This is because the automated processes are intended to help meet the requirements for increased productivity. But without sacrificing flexibility or jeopardizing the consistency of logistics processes across all warehouse areas. How can this be achieved and how can the various automated components be controlled uniformly? With SuPCIS-DTC (Dynamic Transport Control) from S&P. SuPCIS-DTC receives the transport orders from the warehouse management system, splits them up and then forwards them to the connected automatic components (for example to the MFC of the conveyor technology and the forklift control system). SuPCIS-DTC takes care of the entire transport management of the various automatic components. The transports to be processed are precisely coordinated and controlled, taking into account capacity utilization and manual interventions.
