LogiMAT 2023 Review: Crowd of visitors made S&P's booth literally vibrate

Crowd of visitors made S&P's booth literally vibrate, as they hit the nerve of the time with their Warehouse Management Software plus Data Science

The employees of S&P Computersysteme GmbH could not get out of shaking hands and talking shop. The Warehouse Management Software SuPCIS-L8 in combination with Data Science attracted a lot of visitors. The new features and the optimized user interface made the visitors sit up and take notice, but most of all how warehouse strategies can be linked with artificial intelligence. S&P had practical applications and savings results from already implemented Data Science projects in its luggage. The company Element Logic provided an additional visitor push at the S&P booth. Why? Because S&P appeared for the first time under the flag of Element Logic, to which they belong as a wholly owned subsidiary since the end of 2022. So they could welcome common customers at the booth and discuss upcoming projects.

Data science for intelligent intralogistics in the future
For logistics experts, it's all about eliminating inefficient warehouse processes and limited storage capacities. On top: counteracting the shortage of skilled workers. And that's where S&P comes in with "Warehouse Performance". In addition to optimized inventory reservation and batch planning, the main focus is on the application of "Warehouse Healing", an intelligent warehouse strategy. Here, the software is fed with data from the warehouse and continuously optimizes it in order to minimize picking paths, for example. This topic is becoming increasingly important for both S&P and its customers. Because both know that in software-supported and already highly optimized intralogistics, the use of data with the application of artificial intelligence ensures even more efficient and leaner processes.

‍Use ofnative integrations offers new opportunities
Other highlights were the possibilities that S&P offers with the integration of external tools and future-oriented hardware solutions. These open up a spectrum of new analyses and evaluations for the user. For example, S&P enables even leaner and more efficient use of new mobile computers and wearables through an adapted user interface as well as through the integration of native functions such as the camera. But it is also conceivable to evaluate sensors to measure an employee's workload. An integrated voice solution offers additional flexibility when using the software.
