LogiMAT 2022: successful trade fair appearance of S&P with Warehouse Performance and innovative upgrade for SuPCIS-L8

True to the motto of LogiMAT 2022: "Logistics at first hand - Smart - Sustainable - Safe", S&P Computersysteme GmbH, provider of intralogistics IT solutions, informed about the warehouse management platform SuPCIS-L8 not only with a new mobile release for cross-device working in the warehouse but also convinced with its own voice solution and native iOS support.

Under the heading "Warehouse Performance Suite", the Stuttgart experts presented the potential of the "Warehouse Healing" strategy - which was voted Product of the Year 2021 by the readers of the trade magazine Materialfluss. In the process, visitors were shown where warehouse management software can provide support to increase performance in the warehouse with the help of data-based strategies. Interested students and applicants learned more about everyday work at S&P and exciting facts from the world of intralogistics live at the trade fair stand.

This year's LogiMAT (International Trade Fair for Intralogistics Solutions and Process Management) was a complete success for S&P. Numerous visitors from a wide range of industries visited the S&P trade fair stand, had personal conversations and informed themselves about the innovations of the Stuttgart logistics software provider and very important: came with concrete project tasks.

Some features that we know from our smartphones are now also possible in intralogistics: because with regard to a modern warehouse management system such as SuPCIS-L8, it is by no means sufficient to simply enable access to all data and information via a mobile device. The content must be visually presented in such a way that one glance is enough to quickly grasp and understand relevant information. Therefore, the frontend of SuPCIS-L8 is also being continuously developed in order to constantly improve the user experience on mobile devices as well as on the desktop for the user. In the further development of the user interface, special emphasis was placed on functional design and ergonomics. For example, the images, dashboards and colour concepts available on larger screens are now also available on mobile devices. Visitors to the trade fair stand were able to see for themselves how easy and quick it is to use the dialogues - thanks to iOS support also on iPads and iPhones provided. In anticipation of the use on stationary computers, S&P convinced with new filter options and at the same time gave the visitors the opportunity to test the voice input available through the new client live.

The visitors at the S&P stand were also very interested in the topic "Warehouse Performance Suite". Using a concrete practical example, S&P showed the visitors how optimisations can be realised with the help of the new modules. In addition to optimised stock reservation and batch planning, the focus was on the application of the "Warehouse Healing" strategy. The raw material for the strategy is the data from the WMS - for example, baskets of goods are analysed and the potential of stock transfers is shown. The goal is to recognise existing patterns, for example in the order history, and to contribute to minimising picking paths by intelligently placing products.

In addition, visitors to the S&P stand were able to try out the latest hardware, such as scanners and MDEs from various manufacturers. On the evening of the second day of the trade fair, S&P invited trade fair guests to an Italian snack and drink at the S&P Warehouse Management Factory, 5 km away from the trade fair. "LogiMAT 2022 was a complete success and a great event! So we could use the days on site and the common exchange with the visitors again well to inform about current and future developments of S&P and our WMS SuPCIS-L8. We are already looking forward to the next time when we will say: "Finally LogiMAT again!", as Horst Reichert (Managing Director at S&P) sums it up.
