Hermann Müller Elektrogrosshandel GmbH, a medium-sized electrical wholesaler from Weingarten, has chosen S&P Computersysteme GmbH and the warehouse management system (WMS) SuPCIS-L8 as part of a modernisation project.
In the course of modernising its warehouse logistics in Weingarten, Hermann Müller will rely on the implementation of SuPCIS-L8 and the integration of the automatic small parts warehouse AutoStore® from AM-Automation GmbH with the planned commissioning in the first half of 2021. The control of AutoStore® in the overall process is carried out via the warehouse management software from S&P.
The SuPCIS-L8 warehouse management system, linked to the SHCware ERP from SHComputersysteme GmbH, will also control and optimise the entire logistics processes in the existing warehouse - from goods receipt to picking and dispatch. After the successful interaction between SuPCIS-L8 and SHCware has already been demonstrated in previous projects, the two software packages will also form a successful overall solution for the company in the future.
The flexibility, customisability and available interfaces ofSuPCIS-L8 also offer the possibility of connecting AutoStore® directly to the WMS. This direct connection not only enables a smooth interaction between the two systems, but also brings enormous advantages to the electrical wholesaler Hermann Müller overall. Since the SuPCIS-L8 warehouse management system can be connected to the AutoStore® automated small parts warehouse without any middleware at all, the warehouse employees also have access to the workstation dialogues at the miniload, including the cockpit and dashboards, in the uniform interface of the WMS. In addition, the number of required subsystems is reduced. "The interaction of new warehouse technology and the SuPCIS-L8 warehouse management system significantly increases our capacities and will ensure previously unattainable service levels through the new storage and retrieval strategies and the consistent use of data as a basis for decision-making. This will enable us to optimally implement our logistics strategy at Hermann Müller and serve our customers even better," says Uwe Holder, Managing Director at Hermann Müller Elektrogrosshandel GmbH.
"We are delighted with the trust placed in us by Hermann Müller Elektrogrosshandel GmbH and look forward to the next steps in our joint project," concludes Rémy El Abd, Managing Director at S&P Computersysteme GmbH.
