Use hazardous materials management to get rid of messy processes.

Hazardous substances are processed or stored in a wide variety of industries and in numerous companies. In particular, the handling of such substances within the warehouse as well as further processing and transport to customers poses a number of challenges for logistics. Above all, compliance with legal requirements such as the prohibition of combined storage when storing such substances.

In many companies, hazardous materials are moved around the warehouse without the support of software. Employees often use lists or other "offline solutions" to keep track of storage bans and total quantities of hazardous substances. In most cases, however, these aids lack a connection to the existing warehouse management system. The result: The storage location search is done manually and laboriously by an employee.

Handle hazardous materials in the warehouse without any problems
Our Warehouse Management System SuPCIS-L8 provides functional support through integrated hazardous materials management. In practice, you often find materials and substances that must not be stored together or require special treatment and must therefore be stored in specially designated zones. The EU Chemicals Regulation CLP provides the framework for the classification, labeling and packaging of substances and mixtures. The characteristics used can be assigned to the products concerned in the SuPCIS-L8 warehouse management software, such as the hazardous substance class and the place of storage. If necessary, this data can be maintained in the system to ensure safe storage of the hazardous substances. As a result, it is also known within the warehouse in which storage bin which type of hazardous substance is located. In this way, the hazard potential in the warehouse can be evaluated at any time by means of so-called fire lists. Further options such as automatic printing of transport documents, labeling with limited quantity stickers and the printing of dangerous goods pictograms can also be configured in SuPCIS-L8.

The hazardous materials management in the warehouse management software SuPCIS-L8 enables the control function of the entire process, a transparent supply chain and the best possible handling of hazardous materials in the warehouse. In addition, it is possible to react quickly to changing specifications and (further) transport the hazardous goods according to type and dispatch. The potential danger in the warehouse is significantly reduced by correct storage.
