Fully digital and flexible warehouse concept: successful commissioning of SuPCIS-L8 and AutoStore® at Hermann Müller

Interaction of new warehouse technology, existing ERP system and new WMS SuPCIS-L8: After commissioning S&P Computersysteme GmbH with the implementation of the warehouse management software SuPCIS-L8 and integration of the automatic small parts warehouse AutoStore® from AM Logistic Solutions in August 2020, the new warehouse concept was successfully put into operation at Hermann Müller Elektrogrosshandel GmbH. Thanks to the warehouse modernisation, the electrical wholesaler from Weingarten has an efficient and future-proof warehouse management system.

The warehouse management system SuPCIS-L8, connected to the ERP SHCware from SHComputersysteme GmbH, controls and optimises the entire logistics processes - from goods receipt to order picking to shipping. With lean processes and industry-specific solutions, such as cross-docking and cable management in SuPCIS-L8, the logistics of the electrical wholesaler could be significantly optimised. "The combination of the powerful WMS SuPCIS-L8 and the innovative storage system AutoStore® offers electrical wholesaler Hermann Müller completely new possibilities in the future to optimally implement its logistics strategy and to serve its customers even better," says Ferdinand Gantert, project manager at S&P Computersysteme GmbH.

The AutoStore® system from AM Logistic Solutions ensures maximum space utilisation and flexibility. The control of AutoStore® in the overall process is carried out by S&P's WMS. The direct connection to the available cutting speeds at the WMS enables a smooth interaction between the systems and at the same time reduces the number of required subsystems. In addition, the workstation dialogues at the automatic small parts warehouse, including cockpits and dashboards, are also available to the warehouse staff in the uniform interface of SuPCIS-L8. "In the course of the modernisation, we relied on a fully digital, flexible concept with dynamic storage. We are excited about the AutoStore® integration in combination with the implementation of SuPCIS-L8. For us, the project is so important because it supports our continuous growth. We could always rely on the project team at S&P - even after the go-live," says Uwe Holder, Managing Director at Hermann Müller Elektrogrosshandel GmbH.
