Digitalisation offensive at HARDY SCHMITZ: into the future with new WMS and ERP

S&P brings a success factor into the warehouse with the flexible, powerful and innovative software SuPCIS-L8: The HARDY SCHMITZ Group, an electrical wholesaler and electrical service specialist at six locations from the North Sea coast to the northern Ruhr area with headquarters in Rheine, has commissioned S&P Computersysteme GmbH with the introduction of a new Warehouse Management System (WMS) as part of a modernisation project. Commissioning is planned for mid-2021.

With the implementation of the SuPCIS-L8 warehouse management software from S&P, the electrical wholesaler is replacing its existing warehouse management system and thus laying an important foundation for the future viability of its warehouse logistics. Connected to the ERP system SHCware of SHComputersysteme GmbH, the warehouse management system SuPCIS-L8 will control and optimise the entire material flow in the future - from goods receipt to picking and dispatch.

As part of the project, the WMS will also control the individual hardware components in the electrical wholesaler's warehouse and take over the control of the existing shuttle warehouse. "With the WMSSuPCIS-L8 we have found a logistics software that meets our individual requirements for a modern, scalable and future-oriented solution. Above all, the flexibility and customisability ofSuPCIS-L8 makes it possible to design our intralogistical processes more efficiently, but also to provide the best possible intralogistical support for our growth in the long term," says Ingo Strehl, Head of IT at Hardy Schmitz GmbH.
